The National Corvette Museum conducts a series of raffles each year as a way to raise funding for the day to day operations of the Museum. The raffle fundraisers are a tremendous help to the Museum and a large part of our planning and daily operation funds.
All raffle winners will also enjoy the benefits and excitement of taking delivery of their new Corvette at the Museum as part of the “R8C Museum Delivery” experience. A VIP tour of the Museum and Corvette Assembly Plant (if available), one-year individual membership to the Museum, hands-on training/instruction by a NCM delivery team member, program decal and a wall plaque are all part of the Museum Delivery experience that is available exclusively through the Museum. R8C deliveries are viewed world-wide via the Museum’s webcams.
Winner/Purchaser must be 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Coastal Corvette Association Members – January 2025
We closed 2024 as a year of club growth, operational progress, and fun filled memories with America’s true sports car – The Corvette!
Some highlights from 2024:
• Hosted 10 monthly car cruises
• Participated in the Savannah Veteran’s Parade
• Oyster Roast at Lisa and Izzy’s House
• Elected an NCM Ambassador (Les Preston)
• Registered the Club as an official Non-Profit Organization
• Updated Website & Facebook Page
• Updated Club Bylaws
• Amazing Christmas Party (thank you Melissa!)
• Ended the year with money in the bank!
• We also survived two hurricanes and a flood…
The Club enjoyed trips to Hilton Head, Hinesville (Das Boot!), Metter, Statesville, St, Simons, Richmond Hill, and more. The Board met six times to organize and discuss club progress and planning so that we can do even more in 2025.
As we started 2025, we received the news that longtime member, Ed Ueberall had passed. If you had the pleasure to sit and talk with Ed, then you know how special of a person he was. Ed was one of the first people that I spoke with when I joined the Club. We started talking about our cars, then he started talking about watches, specifically pocket watches. I honestly could have sat there for hours and absorbed how passionately he explained the inner workings and craftsmanship of these small machines, then how he would labor, looking through magnifying glasses to create parts and file off the sprocket teeth a thousandth of an inch at a time to repair them. A true artisan and friend who was welcoming and kind. Ed will be dearly missed. Please keep Linda in your heart as she moves forward. A brick at the National Corvette Museum will be purchased in memorandum for Ed. We will also plan to attend services for Ed and send him off with a Loud V8 Salute! Stay tuned for more information on the time and place.
I’d like to also give thanks for answered prayers as our own Izzy Santangelo is recovering from a hospital stay that lasted from Christmas through New Years Eve. Last report was that Izzy is doing well and should be back in the saddle very soon.
Our first cruise of the year was local to Spanky’s in Pooler GA, and we had great time. We had 12 cars, and 22 members attend this chilly ride. Luckily, Spanky’s had a fire going in the fireplace and the food was great. We will be posting pictures of the cruise soon (thank you Kathrin Egner for remembering to take pictures!) Tom Egner made it a point to show how really cool he was by driving into the parking lot with his convertible top down. I made the mistake of going to the bathroom and not giving Melissa keys to the car; literally a hot woman standing out in the cold. But she looked great as always!
On tap for 2025:

Please reach out to Melissa Rodriguez at cca.eventplanning@gmail.com with suggestions on what events or locations you like to see the club go to. Car Show, Cruise In, restaurant – she’d love to hear your ideas!
In closing, I’m super excited for 2025 and what they year brings. The club is growing and positioning itself to be a charitable contributor in the community. Also, to draw new and current owners into the best part of owning a Corvette – the community of like-minded people sharing a passion for this brand and how fun it is striking fear into the Ponies and those Dodge Boys.
Best wishes for health and prosperity in 2025!

Didja know?
Going to change thins up this time, here are 50 things I have learned in my life that I try and apply when needed and/or necessary.
1. Have a firm handshake
2. Look people in the eye
3. Sing in the shower
4. Own a great stereo system
5. If in a fight, hit first and hit hard
6. Keep secrets
7. Never give up on anybody. Miracles happen every day. (See no.17)
8. Always accept an outstretched hand
9. Be brave. Even if you’re not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.
10. Whistle
11. Avoid sarcastic remarks
12. Choose your life’s mate carefully. From this one decision will come 90 per cent of all your happiness or misery.
13. Make it a habit to do nice things for people who will never find out
14. Lend only those books you never care to see again
15. Never deprive someone of hope; it might be all that they have
16. When playing games with children, let them win
17. Give people a second chance, but not a third
18. Be romantic
19. Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know
20. Loosen up. Relax. Except for rare life-and-death matters, nothing is as important as it first seems.
21. Don’t allow the phone to interrupt important moments. It’s there for our convenience, not the caller’s.
22. Be a good loser
23. Be a good winner
24. Think twice before burdening a friend with a secret
25. When someone hugs you, let them be the first to let go
26. Be modest. A lot was accomplished before you were born.
27. Keep it simple
28. Beware of the person who has nothing to lose
29. Don’t burn bridges. You’ll be surprised how many times you have to cross the same river.
30. Live your life so that your epitaph could read, “No Regrets”
31. Be bold and courageous. When you look back on life, you’ll regret the things you didn’t do more than the ones you did.
32. Never waste an opportunity to tell someone you love them
33. Remember no one makes it alone. Have a grateful heart and be quick to acknowledge those who helped you
34. Take charge of your attitude. Don’t let someone else choose it for you.
35. Visit friends and relatives when they are in hospital; you need only stay a few minutes
36. Begin each day with some of your favorite music
37. Once in a while, take the scenic route
38. Send a lot of Valentine cards. Sign them, ‘Someone who thinks you’re terrific.’
39. Answer the phone with enthusiasm and energy in your voice.
40. Keep a note pad and pencil on your bed-side table. Million-dollar ideas sometimes strike at a.m.
41. Show respect for everyone who works for a living, regardless of how trivial their job
42. Send your loved ones flowers. Think of a reason later.
43. Make someone’s day by paying the toll for the person in the car behind you
44. Become someone’s hero.
45. Marry only for love.
46. Count your blessings.
47. Compliment the meal when you’re a guest in someone’s home.
48. Wave at the children on a school bus.
49. Remember that 80 percent of the success in any job is based on your ability to deal with people.
50. Don’t expect life to be fair.
